Basic Contest Rules to attend the contest at Flickr
Yes I know … but we must have some !!
- First and most important: All photos MUST BE YOUR OWN!
- Respect a subject’s right to privacy!
- Please no NUDITY!! ~ This is a family friendly site!
- The photo(s) you post must fit the topic: Very very little editing on these shots. Keep the human being involved! Keep it very Metropolitan… and let it be a kind of a blink.. capture the very (decisive) moment… make us feel the motion! Shadows are fine, concentrate on making the absence of light work rather than working with lighting. If that makes sense..
- You can post TWO photos to a contest.
- All photos must be medium size (Flickr – Medium 640 (429 x 640)).
- Number your photo when you post it to make it easier for others to vote on it when the contest is over.
Side note: When numbering your photo Press F5 or refresh the page to get the most recently updated posting. - If you post a photo in a contest you MUST vote in that contest ~ If you don’t vote your photo will be disqualified.
- If you post a photo in one contest and fail to vote you cannot post in the next contest. Your photo will be automatically disqualified and deleted if found.
- DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF! ~ If you do your photo will be disqualified
- Please Tag your picture with ‘metroblinks’.
How To Enter your images at Flickr (after upload at Flickr)
1: Open the picture page on your photostream
2: Click the Share This select Grab the HTML/BBCode in the pulldown menu.
3: Make sure that Medium size is selected
4: Select and Copy all of the HTML text in the box.
5: Go to the Metroblinks Pool
6: Open the current discussion for the Conest:
Metroblinks StreetPhotoChallenge # -(Posting)
7: In the “Reply to this topic” add the next number
8: Then Paste the code that you copied from step 5
9: Preview ~ check the number and check that the picture is there
10: Post
